Our live globe uses approximate coordinates derived from an IP address, not a device’s precise GPS location. These coordinates and a temporary connection identifier are shared with other connected visitors while a connection is active. The globe application keeps this visitor state in memory, removes the marker when the connection ends, and does not write a visitor history to its database. Analytics preferences do not switch off the live globe.
